Ted Koppel on Late Night with Conan O’Brien

Ted Koppel was on Late Night with Conan O’Brien June 7, 2008 to discuss his new documentary he filmed in China called The People’s Republic of Capitalism. The film follows the current industrial boom of Chongquing, the reformations for becoming a modern city, the role the United States play in developing the economy and China’s rise out of poverty. During the interview Koppel mentioned that China isn’t doing enough to help curb pollution.

I’ve heard this before, where people mention how polluted China is becoming due to their industrial boom. I would just like to point out that just recently a G8 Summit concluded that the United States and Canada are the worlds worst polluters! Why then do we pick on places like China and Russia. I’m interested in watching this special Koppel put together but I’m hesitant to hear how polluted China is becoming.
