Conan O’Brien Keeps Staff Paid As Strike Looms
Late Night’s Conan O’Brien has begun paying his non-striking cast’s salaries. Because of the show’s cancellation when the show ended November 5th, NBC executives have announced that after this week they will begin cutting the production staff members. Not good news to the loyal employees of Conan O’Brien and all the many other staff members working for talk shows. This is all coming at a bad time as the holiday’s are quickly approaching and the chance of finding a new job are slim. If things aren’t settled with the writing guild many CBS, NBC, and ABC employees will be shut out. Paying the salaries of the employees is a band-aide solution that only postpones the inevitable.
